After breakfast, drive to Agra, approximately 200 km from New Delhi. En route, visit Sikandra, the magnificent mausoleum of Mughal Emperor Akbar. Surrounded by beautifully maintained gardens, this impressive monument showcases a unique blend of Hindu, Islamic, Jain, Buddhist and Christian architectural influences. The construction was started by Akbar and later completed by his son, Jahangir, in 1613.

Continue your sightseeing with a visit to Itmad-Ud-Daulah’s Tomb, one of Agra’s most beautiful Mughal monuments. Built by Empress Nur Jahan in memory of her father, Mirza Ghiyas Beg, the tomb is renowned for its delicate marble inlay work, intricate designs and peaceful riverside gardens. Often considered a beautiful architectural inspiration for the Taj Mahal, this elegant monument offers a wonderful glimpse into the artistic excellence of the Mughal era.

Later, reach Agra and check in to your hotel. Enjoy lunch and relax for some time. In the evening, experience the spectacular Mohabbat-E-Taj, a Broadway-style theatrical presentation based on the legendary love story of Emperor Shah Jahan and his beloved Queen, Mumtaz Mahal. With colourful costumes, music, dance and dramatic performances, the show brings the magnificent Mughal era and their timeless love story to life.

Wake up early and visit the magnificent Taj Mahal to witness its breathtaking beauty in the soft morning sunlight. Built by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal, this iconic monument is one of the world’s most celebrated symbols of love. Crafted from beautiful white marble, the Taj Mahal is admired for its perfect symmetry, elegant domes, delicate marble screens and intricate inlay work. Spend some peaceful time exploring this timeless masterpiece before continuing your sightseeing.

Next, visit the impressive Agra Fort, located close to the Taj Mahal. Built by Emperor Akbar in the 16th century, this massive red sandstone fort served as an important Mughal residence and citadel. Explore its magnificent gateways, grand courtyards, palaces and the beautiful Pearl Mosque while enjoying views of the Yamuna River.

Return to your hotel and relax after the morning sightseeing. The evening is free for you to enjoy at your own pace. You may choose to take a guided Heritage Walk along the other side of the Yamuna River, unwind with a relaxing spa treatment at your hotel, or simply spend a peaceful evening by the pool.

After breakfast, check out from your hotel and begin your journey back to Delhi. En route, visit Fatehpur Sikri, the magnificent former capital of the Mughal Empire. Built by Emperor Akbar in the 16th century, this historic city showcases remarkable Mughal architecture, grand courtyards and beautifully preserved monuments. Explore the impressive palaces, gateways and historic structures that reflect the grandeur of Akbar’s reign.

Continue your drive towards Delhi and, depending on your departure schedule, enjoy some last-minute shopping or free time in the city. Later, our The Travel Shop representative will assist you with your transfer to the international airport for your onward journey.
